Sundeep used to always say that if he were to start his career all over again, he would find a way to become a travel photographer. After 40 years in the corporate world, now it seems he has. Even then he would find ways to carve out opportunities for travel and photography. He was fortunate that over the years his work itself has taken him across the globe to over 50 countries. 

His images have appeared in various travel and photography journals, including Nat Geo Traveller. Sundeep started his career in advertising and this perhaps helped him hone his creativity which finds its way into his photography. “I like my pictures to communicate and I’m always thinking of different and inventive ways of capturing oft-shot subjects. I also give a lot of thought to the composition of my frame. My stint in advertising allowed me to interact with leading photographers and learn from them”, he says. 

What appeals the most to Sundeep about photography is that it’s a perfect blend of technique and creativity, requiring both the left and right brains. “I try and go beyond what the eye sees and believe that I don’t merely take pictures, but make pictures”, he says.
